I’ve been playing instrumental music since childhood, mostly brasses (cornet/trumpet all the way down to tuba!), but also some woodwinds, folk/Renaissance music, and piano too. Here are some youtube resource of the bands I’ve played in over the last 15+ years.
Sunshine Brass Band
I have played tuba and cornet (at different times) for the Sunshine Brass Band from 2001 to present. It is in “British-Brass-Band Style”, meaning we use cornets instead of trumpets, and tenor horns instead of French horns. The low brass is heavily prescribed as well, having two seperate tuba parts (E-flat and B-flat), and distinct roles for baritone vs. euphonium, vs. trombones. Definitely this is the most rewarding musical experience I’ve ever had.

Wesley Chapel Wind Ensemble
The Wesley Chapel Wind Ensemble is actually a collection of community bands in Pasco County, Florida.
- Wesley Chapel Wind Ensemble (a full-on concert band)
- Wesley Chapel Jazz Band (a stage band, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, a full row of saxes, plus piano/bass/drums)
- Brasstastick! (a five-piece brass quintet with a sixth player doing percussion)
Here are some of the videos from my days playing there under the baton of Mr. Scott Leahy, one of the finest music educators I have ever known!
I was active in this band from about 2007 to the end of 2012.
Cypress Creek Dixieland Band
The Cypress Creek Dixieland Band also sprang from the Wesley Chapel Wind Ensemble circle of musicians. The band consists of Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Sax, Tuba, plus drums and piano.

Carrollwod Brass, soon to be renamed Tampa Bay Brass.
I just joined this small brass ensemble at the end of 2016, and I’m afraid we don’t yet have an internet presense.
